The audacity of Tibet to exist as a country close to China.
26
Apparently the Russians want to surrender but Iran wont let them, the Ayatollah said he'd fight Ukraine until the last Russian.
8
@jesussonofgod6284 Anglo Saxons would have to put a lot of work in before they could do as much damage to China as the CCP has.
6
@TheKkpop1 How about when China invaded Vietnam right after the US did? Wasn't that China imitating the US?
5
Please. Putin could end this war today, just go home and the war's over.
4
@markbauer909westend Russia is begging Iran and North Korea for help. Apparently Russia wants to surrender but the Ayatollah said he'd fight Ukraine until the last Russian.
4
@herta3286 Tibet was a client state of China. That means they were a sovereign country that paid tribute. China Never ruled over Tibet prior to the CCP's invasion.
4
@herta3286 No China just viewed Vietnam as their vassal and wanted to put them in their place. The main reason China withdrew is because they took massive casualties almost as many as the US did during their entire time there. The US invasion of Vietnam was also a mistake, the difference is the US unlike China doesn't pretend otherwise, they acknowledge their mistakes. China, like Russia are always the victim and can do no wrong. Let me hear your excuse for China's current genocide against the Uighurs.
4
@barkobummer Well except for Tibet and Xinjiang, and Taiwan maybe. Also if you're going back 500 years Chinese history hasn't exactly been peaceful.
4
@gtaraya Aside from the Philippines what oversea colonies does the US have military bases in? Usually countries invite the US to base there because they get benefits, mostly in the form of training. Also China does have foreign military bases in Djibouti, Tajikistan and Pakistan.
4
@herta3286 So for part of the Qing dynasty was a client state and may or may not have been part of China. If you want to be historical though China has spent waaay more time split apart into multiple states then it has united as one. Should China split up again, for the sake of historical accuracy? The PRC asserts that Tibet has been a part of China since the Mongol-led Yuan dynasty.[4] The Republic of China (ROC) asserted that "Tibet was then definitely placed under the sovereignty of China" when the Qing dynasty (1636–1912) ended the brief Nepalese invasion (1788–1792) of parts of Tibet in c. 1793.[5] The Tibetan Government in Exile asserts that Tibet was an independent state until the PRC invaded Tibet in 1949/1950.[6][7] Most outside scholars maintain that Tibet and China were ruled by the Mongols during the Yuan dynasty, treating Tibet and China as separate realms under a common rule;[8] that Tibet was independent during the Han-led Ming dynasty (1368–1644);[9] and that Tibet was ruled by China,[10] or at the very least subordinate to the Manchu-led Qing dynasty[11] during much of the Qing dynasty.[12] Most outside scholars maintain that Tibet was independent from c. 1912 to 1951

@AyushOjha-93 I already spoke about Texas to someone else, I suppose you didn't read that though. I'll just say that prior to WW2 everyone was conquering everyone else. The rules were different. You aren't supposed to do that anymore, the only countries that try to annex others are pretty much just Russia and China.
3
@AyushOjha-93 Spurred by the nationalism aroused by the Spanish-American War, the United States annexed Hawaii in 1898 at the urging of President William McKinley. Hawaii was made a territory in 1900, and Dole became its first governor. They were already part of the US. The Dalai Lama declared that Tibet's relationship with China ended with the fall of the Qing dynasty and proclaimed independence. Tibet and Outer Mongolia also signed a treaty proclaiming mutual recognition of their independence from China. So no wrong again.
3
How about Tibet and Xinjiang?
3
@julioduan7130 Historically, Tibet has never been a part of China. Tibet was forcibly occupied by the People's Republic of China from 1950 to 1959. China was under Mongolian sovereignty between 1279 and 1368, at which time Tibet enjoyed a “priest-patron” relationship with Mongolia but was not under Mongolian rule. Tibet was always a sovereign country that never went beyond protectorate status until the CCP invaded. Historically China has spent far more time broken up into smaller countries then united as one large one.

@joeharris3878 Do you really think Boeing and Raytheon are the reason Russia attacked Ukraine?
2
Russia cant even take the Donbas, its time to face reality.
2
@parislondonbranch.....149 NATO is a defensive alliance and neither India or Pakistan are in it. Are you brain damaged or something?
2
@RechtmanDon Texas became part of the US after the Mexican American war. (a war Mexico started btw) It was also 200 years ago. The rules of the world were different in the olden days, everyone was trying to conquer everyone else. Since WW2 if you annex another country you are a bad boy. Understand?
2
@SK-lt1so Yep, that's also why China has such tight monetary controls. As soon as you give people freedom with their money all the money leaves China because the people who have the least amount of faith in the CCP's economy are Chinese people.
2
@AyushOjha-93 On July 7, 1898, the Hawaiian Islands were annexed by joint resolution. What on earth are you talking about?
2
@factsmatter6625 What about them? Did the US annex one of those countries without me knowing? Do you have any idea what's being discussed?
2
they do all the time.
2
@maxmadison5488 In September 2021, US Coast Guard cutters in the Bering Sea and North Pacific Ocean encountered Chinese ships, about 80km off the Aleutian Islands (The US didn't veer dangerously infront of the ship btw). China would do it more frequently but they lack a blue water navy and are mostly only able to play around in coastal waters. You may also remember just a few months ago China sent a spy balloon to fly over the continental United States. Imagine the river of tears if the US had a balloon loitering over mainland China. The US has allies in east Asia who China routinely bullies so they ask for their help with China. Understand?
2
@ElBandido_pecas Back ni the olden days the rules of the world were different, everyone was annexing everyone else. since WW2 the rules have changed, the borders are set. The only countries trying to annex other countries are Russia and China.
2
@gtaraya SYNONYMS FOR colonize conquer found immigrate migrate transplant Right now China is colonizing North America. the number of Chinese immigrants to the US was 2.5 million in 2019
2
@julioduan7130 Just pretend the 9 dash line doesn't exist.
2
@George_Washington185 China does sail in international waters off the US coast. The US doesn't respond by veering dangerously in front of them. Imagine if the US sent a spy balloon to loiter over mainland China, how many tears would be shed by the Chinese.
2
@jvs333 This is a new fantasy i've never heard before. No the 9 dash line is an imaginary line the CCP made up to try to claim the south China sea. Nobody else recognizes the validity of this claim.
2
@Wvk5zc China is currently going through the largest demographic and economic collapse in human history so they might not have as long as you think.
1
@herta3286 China views Vietnam as their client state. They invaded to punish Vietnam for not knowing their place. China has a long history of attacking Vietnam, taking massive casualties then heading home after declaring victory.
1
@mdafzalurrahman7249 huh?
1
@gtaraya How do you think China got to be so big if not for colonizing? You realize colonization is just another word for conquering right?
1
@gtaraya nope not really.
1
@gtaraya Yeah one you use a boat the other you use your feet. TOTALLY DIFFERENT.
1
@julioduan7130 Yeah I read one that's not full of make believe information.
1
@africarenaissance7607 Ukraine has taken more in 3 weeks then Russia has in the past 10 months. How's the 3 day SMO going?
