  34.  @stormlights666  I've already refuted all your claims with a mountain of sources and evidence. You just have your baseless opinion. So you honestly think invading another country and forcing them to have a referendum has anything to do with rule of law? Absolutely insane. I'll restate, though this shouldn't be difficult. Invading another country and annexing their territory violates international law, stop trying to pretend you support international law. The legally elected representatives of Crimea were forced at gunpoint by Russian invaders to hold a sham referendum. Referendums are illegal in Russia yet you somehow believe Russia invading a sovereign state to force a referendum there being somehow valid is bonkers. I suppose you think that when Lukashenko who was voted out in a landslide and refused to give up power resulting in the largest protests in human history. After which he called in the Russian goon squad to help him retain power must have also been consistent with rule of law right? There was no discrimination against the Russian speaking population, Zelensky is a native Russian speaker, this is a lie with no basis in reality, do you think Zelensky is discriminating against himself? . Ukraine made Ukrainian its national language AFTER Russia's invasion in 2014. Speaking Russian isn't banned, its only in official settings that Ukrainian is required. Its called having an official language, like a majority of countries on earth. The national language of Mexico is Spanish, this isn't discrimination against English speakers it's just how the world works. And considering Russia used the imaginary reason of protecting Russian speakers as a pretext to its invasion Russian probably should have been banned in 1991. Though if that were the case Russia would have found some other make believe reason to invade. So you would support holding referendums in places in Russia where Moscow is unpopular? (by an outside invasion force if necessary) In Kaliningrad, the Caucuses and the Russian far east? If Poland invaded Kaliningrad and siezed government buildings an allowd Poles to vote you would have to support that right? Thats what you support in Crimea.

  50.  @stormlights666  Where did I say deposed? By ways to remove a president from office do you mean being voted out by 100% of parliament, including his own party? It obviously wasn't good enough for the citizens of Ukraine, likely because Yanukovych had already proven a liar an Russian puppet. He also promised he'd sign the EU association agreement. Its also incredibly rich for anyone supporting Russia to talk about Rule of law. Like how PMC's are illegal in Russia yet Putin in his words "Support for the entire Wagner group was fully provided by the state from the defense ministry, from the state budget, we fully funded the group." Not to mention Russia's violation of The Budapest Memorandum, Minsk agreements and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine violates Article 2(4) of the UN Charter, a central tenet of the charter that requires UN member states to refrain from the “use of force against the territorial integrity or political independence of any state.” UN Charter; UN Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism; UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide; Corpus of conventions governing the laws and customs of war; International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance; Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict; UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination; UN Convention on the Law of the Sea. And CSCE Final Act 1975; European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms; Statute of the Council of Europe.
