  1.  @epants8507  Oil refineries and fuel depots are valid military targets. There was no path for Ukraine to join NATO. Only around 10% of the population wanted to join, Ukraine's government was unwilling and unable to go through the necessary reforms. And Several members of the alliance were opposed to them joining, their chances of joining NATO was effectively zero. It's Ukraine that's defending themselves, Russia is the aggressor here.
