Russia doesn't want Ukraine to negotiate they want them to surrender. Russia could go home and end this war today.
89
Russia was supposed to withdraw its forces from Ukraine, remove support for the Donbas rebels and return control of occupied territory to Ukraine under the supervision of the OSCE. Russia did none of these and violated Minsk on day one. Of course there would be no Minsk agreement if Russia hadn't violated the Budapest memorandum.
30
Thanks commander smooth brain, you should apply at the Russian MOD.
23
Continue with failed economic policies and starve in the dark, or become a market economy and join the western world of progress and prosperity. What a difficult choice.
21
Another final warning from China.
14
You are clueless if you think the embargo has anything to do with Cuba's collapse.
11
They also make themselves uninvadable, unless someone wants to engage in MAD.
10
Desperation.
10
Nobody attacked Russia.
9
He'll just blame Biden and his followers will eat it up.
9
I look forward to the results of the referendum in the BPR and KPR. Its well known they want freedom from their Kremlin overlords, soon after that they can apply to join the EU and NATO.
8
yeah some regions declaring independence would be really nice.
7
@dulio12385 Yes the old joke in Japan, and Taiwan is that they are both a turned screw away from a functioning nuclear weapon.
6
@MS-jz9ne Thats what they said about Kherson.
6
@rodneyagesa1851 Way better then when the Russians were there. I can tell the Russians miss it though as they'll occasionally launch an S-300 at an apartment building or maternity ward for old times sake.
6
A peace deal was already drawn up but Putin said he'd fight Wagner until the last Russian.
6
@taramichellepagan The last times Republicans controlled the executive branch and both houses and the courts was in 1928, and the US enacted the Smoot Hawley Tariff Act and sunk into the Great Depression within a year.
6
Trying to paint this as anyone's fault but Russia's is completely absurd.
5
He's the President of France, they speak French there.
5
I'm amazed no news agencies have called this Minecraftgate yet.
5
Who's the government, Hamas or the PA?
5
@vinojsagar5007 Russia doesn't have a military alliance with China or India and BRICS isn't a country, even if it was there are no BRICS military, trade or economic treaties.
5
Big picture? Russia has lost about half of the territory it once occupied and about half its army. Meanwhile Ukraine gains more territory by the day and continues to get support from the west.
4
@balazsszekely2132 Yep it really is, I mean Putin's life would be forfeit if they did. Better him then another half a million on the battlefield though.
4
Do you think attacking where the enemy is strongest is smart or dumb?
4
Oh no, he might make more idle threats.
4
Maybe one day they'll learn that trash talk in the comments doesn't win wars.
3
@Alex_Rome Yes, the most prosperous civilization in human history. No amount of childish emoji spam is going to change reality little buddy.
3
Russian's violated Minsk on day one, they were supposed to withdraw their forces from Ukraine and stop supporting the rebels, they did neither. Of course there would be no Minsk agreement if Russia hadn't violated the Budapest memorandum.
3
@ He literally did that with USMCA. When he enacted it he called it the 'best trade deal ever negotiated.' Later when he violated it he said 'who signed this thing?' You did Donnie, you did.
3
The US is an oligarchy now, the guys running the place aren't going to tax themselves.
3
Nobody attacked Russia.
3
That's literally the job of the press.
3
ISIS, through its outlet al-Amaq, claimed responsibility attack.
2
@yp77738yp77739 It was the DPR, Russia's proxy who broke the Minsk agreement when they captured the Donbas airport and declared it void. Though I guess Russia violated it on day one, they were supposed to withdraw its forces and stop supporting its puppet states, which it failed to do. Of course there would be no Minsk agreement if Russia hadn't violated the Budapest memorandum.
2
I doubt it, Russia still cant even take the Donbas.
2
According to Bloomberg Russia has lost roughly 12% of its oil processing capacity in two days.
2
@Memovox Tell us how the Russians killed 30+ million of their own population.
2
@mkodyglobalsouthsoldier Oh right, the mythical peace treaty that Putin misplaced for a year and a half that nobody talked about or heard of that suddenly makes an appearance.
2
82% of Albertans disagree.
2
@cesarnopo The Russian MoD itself claimed that they shot down all Ukrainian missiles and the casualties were a resulf of falling debris. Of course there would be no casualties if Russia hadn't invaded in the first place.
2
12% of Russia's refinery capacity gone in two days.
1
@electronicexperimentalist5906 That was Brexit, which Carney warned would have a negative impact.
1
@westbenchmancave Putin is the one with an arrest warrant. Its for kidnapping children.
1
@alessandro3997 Russian retreats, aka losing. Izium was the main supply hub in the Kharkiv region, by some accounts Ukraine captured more equipment there than they started the war with.
1
@operator9858 Are you simple or something? Russia invaded Ukraine guess its America's fault somehow. It must have been America's fault when Putin also invaded Moldova, Chechnya, Georgia and the Donbas. Not sure if you noticed but this is a war that the US isn't fighting for once.
1
@lokeshkumarahuja5661 It wasn't the UK or France who invaded Ukraine.
1
The root cause of the war is Russian aggression.
1
Are they going to sleep in ATACMS? The money gets spent in the US, old weapons are sent to Ukraine and the US military replaces them with new weapons.
1
@lovyrituraj I wonder if they'll care when China decides it wants Manchuria back more than it wants an inept vassal.
