Russia collapsed twice in the twentieth century, so it's not exactly a rare event.

Opposing the CCP is one of the very few things both parties can agree on.

@tomo1168 I bet if we sanctioned cigarettes we could end this war in a day.

Finland was a small country of only a few million and had little to no backing aside from a few sympathetic swedes. whereas Ukraine is a country of 40 million and has the backing of the largest economies on earth. Also the opinions of the countries you mention helping Russia range from don't give a rats ass about them to actively hate them.

@tomo1168 lol true i guess, with fetal alcohol syndrome it can be difficult to conceptualize things like freedom, Russia did collapse twice during the 20th century so I still hold out some hope.

All Russia does is refurbish tanks T-72 and hilariously enough T-62's and T-54/55's though far fewer then 1500 a year. Russia produces somewhere between 0-1 tanks a year aka the T-14 Armada which is a complete disaster.
6
@ahmedkara8447 Do you understand the difference between the word's refubished and produced? T14 not being produced in large numbers is an understatement, they are a total boondoggle that doesn't work. The T-72 can't even reverse saying it's an 'effective main battle tank' is silly. Furthermore tank barrels aren't designed for the high volume of fire required from artillery platforms and hauling out some rotting T62's is nothing but humiliating no matter how you look at it, not to mention the T55's.

China is doing it's best to not get hit with sanctions itself and Iran is already a heavily sanctioned country with it's own problems. Both of them will try to gain as much as they can from Russia's misfortune but they don't actually care about them.
5
@ahmedkara8447 I know they can, and they are being used for indirect fire. I'm saying they burn out the barrel quite quickly as they aren't designed for it. And bringing T55's from the boneyard is humiliating no matter how you spin it.

zoom the map out. 30k dead for a rinky dink town of 70k and its not even captured yet. This war has been an absolute catastrophe for Russia.
3
@quocbaonguyen8308 Yep we should bring all the smaller countries into an alliance chain before they get attacked by large authoritarian belligerents, not lament the fact after they are invaded.
3
@williamthebonquerer9181 True but Russia can't even get past the easy to attack geography in the east. It's possible to horse large armor formations through when all an army has is Molotov's, you cant really do that when they have NLAWS and Javelins and accurate artillery behind large minefields.
3
@Phil-D83 The 'advanced weapons' that Russia has are all dependent on western components. Or do you consider the T-55's being brought back from the grave to be advanced?
3
Xi after that exotic honey.

Dictators have no friends.
2
@doomoo5365 Maybe the guys on the front, but back at the Homefront despair and malcontent will spread leading to the great nicotine revolt.

"Were not even trying bro". Absolutely braindead

China and Russia are only allies in Putin's fever dreams, China's only ally on paper is Pakistan.
2
@quocbaonguyen8308 Tell that to Tibet, and Xinjiang, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. China will do whatever they can get away with, China would eat up Vietnam in a heartbeat if they thought their army was up to it and they wouldn't get sanctioned to eternity.
2
@chrisnguyen4611 Oh I agree, Vietnam has proven more then once that it's capable of defending itself, but if China ever thinks otherwise whether real or imagined, or senses weakness they will push as far as they can.
2
@Phil-D83 The 'were not even trying yet bro' excuse is by far the dumbest thing out there. Let me guess you think Kyiv was a feint and everything is going according to plan.
2
@barbadolid5170 So you don't think Russia should be on the security council? Why did Russia inherit all of the USSR's treaties? Why is an ex KGB guy running the country? Russia may not be the USSR but they are their successors.
