Why has Russia sent 50,000 soldiers to attempt to retake Kursk?

@redvirusexe You said they weren't in a rush to retake Kursk, I demonstrated that that isn't the case. Putin himself has given an October deadline to retake it. If you don't have the mental capacity to follow along why bother.

@redvirusexe Ukraine doesn't have anywhere close to 50k personnel in Kursk. Obviously Russia is in a rush to get Kursk back because 1. they sent 50k men there and 2. It's humiliating for Putin to have his territory occupied and undermines his authority. Putin also ordered Chasiv Yar to be taken by May 9th, we're still waiting. It's funny that in the beginning Ukraine's objective was to draw Russian forces to Kursk and now that they are doing exactly what Ukraine wanted Russia's online cheerleaders like to pretend it was the plan all along. Come back to reality bud.

@redvirusexe Those estimates are Russian troop numbers you absolute turnip. Ukraine only invaded with around a dozen battalions, a Ukrainian battalion has around 400 soldiers. The estimates for total Ukrainian forces in Kursk in mid September was around 10k. Russia's advances at Pokvrosk have been marginal at best lately, and at the cost of catastrophic losses. The mud season is going to start soon. If Russia ever does manage to take it it will be a year or more in the future. That's if they have enough equipment to take it. Most of their stocks will run out in the next 12-18 months. Russia is doing all it can to retake Kursk, they have almost nothing in the way of operational reserves and it takes a long time for mass redeployments. That hasn't stopped them from conducting multiple failed offensives to try to oust the Ukrainians in the region. Why do you feel compelled to comment on a topic you are clearly clueless on? In the past two years the percentage of Russian controlled territory has surged from 18% all the way to 18%. What does your objective mind have to say about that?
