@raffiartinian4527 When is the last time the US annexed another country? Also you realize that Russia is also in Syria? They prop up their puppet the butcher Assad and are the ones who flattened Aleppo, while the US has a few dozen spec ops guys supporting the FSA which is by far the most sane faction in Syria.

@jkc3738 The difference is of course these days China is by far the worlds largest importer of energy and food and completely dependent on the west to keep food on the table and the lights on. If they actually do get belligerent then the straight of Malacca will be blockaded and half the country will starve in the dark.

@gfys756 Say what you want about Russian ineptitude but at least they are a net exporter of food and energy. The same sanctions on China and within 6 months 500 million starve in the dark.

Taiwan has already stated they will take out the 3 gorges dam if China attacks. There's also an old joke in Taiwan that they are a turned screw away from a functioning nuke.
