  2.  @RobertNeptune  Chinas high speed rail for example loses about 30 million a day. Infrastructure is great but the only lever China has to pull to keep its economy afloat is build more. And most of the things that make economic sense have already been built, often to a shoddy standard.

  3.  @smallypimpy6407  People in China don't have the money for high speed trains they mostly take slow trains. A few lines, Beijing to Shanghai for example make sense but many of them are white elephants built just for the sake of being built. Another side effect is freight traffic gets superseded that's why China moves a lot more freight by truck then train which is not exactly economical.

  4.  @billshi6005  Oh I agree, Though the interstate's themselves aren't bad but eventually you have a maintenance bill that needs to be paid, a lesson the US started learning in the 70's. I'm not saying infrastructure is bad, but building nonsense infrastructure that makes no economic sense just for the sake of causing demand for steel and concrete isn't ideal.
