  1.  @stormstriker2000  India ranks 46th on the democracy index, so not bad, but not great. One below Brazil. Why are you guys slumming with 125th ranked Russia and 147th ranked China?

  3.  @stormstriker2000  India buys Russian oil at or below the EU price cap. The goal wasn't to get Russian oil off the market, that would result in a price spike and financial hardship all over, including India. The goal was to lower the price of Russian crude so they had to sell at a loss. Mission accomplished. The theory with China was that we would engage with them and they would get rich and become more democratic over time. That was a miscalculation. Which is why you see the decoupling going on now, which has been disastrous for Chinas economy. I still hope one day that China can be rid of the CCP and join the free world. This should be India's goal also.

And as I said 47th isn't bad, I'm not sure why you wouldn't want to get better though, maybe then millions of your best educated countrymen wouldn't feel the need to leave India to go live in the west.

  12.  @mandarinandthetenrings2201  BRICS was first mentioned in a speech by some investment banker as an offhand comment regarding his investment strategy. To date I still have no idea what they are trying to accomplish.
