@Frostchris4121 Only thirteen present-day independent countries escaped formal colonization by European powers: Afghanistan, Bhutan, China, Iran, Japan, Liberia, Mongolia, Nepal, North Korea, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, and Turkey as well as Yemen. The point I was trying to make that went over your head is that Europe colonized everywhere so if they are blamed for every bad thing that ever happened on Earth they also get credit for all the good things right?

Its like Churchill said ‘Many forms of Government have been tried, and will be tried in this world of sin and woe. No one pretends that democracy is perfect or all-wise. Indeed it has been said that democracy is the worst form of Government except for all those other forms that have been tried from time to time.…’

@Frostchris4121 Most of those places weren't democracies when they were colonizing. A synonym for colonizing is conquering, know what other country has been conquered? Every country on earth. The US is a former colony, The UK was colonized by the celt, then the Romans, then the Anglo-Saxons, then the Vikings. Its currently being colonized by Africans, Middle Easterners and Asians. Its only in Africa though where they try to blame all their problems on colonization instead of the actual problems which are primarily corruption, nepotism and tribalism.

@pnduarte4696 Over 80% of Chinese live in dire poverty so yeah. China's managed to do what no country has done before thanks to 1 child, which is grow old before they get rich. Nobody knows what the result will be but probably not good. China also forced millions of abortions on their women and killed off up to 100 million of its own citizens in Mao's 'great leap forward'. If you think China is an example of a well run country you are delusional.

@Frostchris4121 Yes its all Europe's fault. Nothing to do with the corrupt and inept regimes running those places. Typically the places in Africa that were the most colonized were the most successful, like SA. Though a couple decades of ANC incompetence and corruption has taken its toll on SA. I'll bet you'll blame that on Europe too though, no need to take responsibility or even address the actual problems when there is the dreaded west to blame. I wonder who you'll blame when this military junta eventually gets around to ethnic cleansing (and they will) Let me guess it was the west again. whatever helps you sleep at night. Criticize Europe by day, try to cross the Mediterranean to live in Europe by night.
