@--____6915 Surely this important promise was put in writing in some sort of formal treaty and not just hearsay passed around by clueless people on the internet.

What on earth are you talking about?

@SAapproves Ukraine has regained over 50% of territory once occupied by Russia, wtf are you talking about? as for Russia, hydrocarbon revenue is down over 70% since the start of the war, they had to stop export of refined products because of fuel shortages and price hikes in Russia, the Ruble is in the toilet and they're begging Iran and North Korea for scraps. But sure, things are going great, just ask them.

@--____6915 Stop spreading lies. When asked why Gorbachev did not “insist that the promises made to you [Gorbachev]—particularly U.S. Secretary of State James Baker’s promise that NATO would not expand into the East—be legally encoded?” Gorbachev replied: “The topic of ‘NATO expansion’ was not discussed at all, and it wasn’t brought up in those years." “I was in those meetings, and Gorbachev has [also] said there was no promise not to enlarge NATO,” Zoellick recalls. Soviet Foreign Minister.

@--____6915 I'm sure you know more then the people who were in the room. The Soviet foreign minister was also in the room and said there was no promise, he must have also forgot.

Russia still cant even manage to take the Donbas.

Russia has destroyed multiple cities. Last winter they went after Ukrainian power generation in order to kill as many civilians as possible and they'll do the same this winter. What gentlemen.

@--____6915 There's literally zero evidence to back up your baseless assertions and a mountain of it disproving it. But I know you're just a troll account so you can believe whatever makes you feel fuzziest inside.

@eioclementi1355 Ukraine hasn't spent the past 20 years stroking themselves off as the worlds number 2 army.
3
@eioclementi1355 5% of the US annual military budget, mostly in the form of old stock has resulted in the destruction of 50% of the Russian army wtf are you talking about. What would you consider 'any success'

@--____6915 You really do live in a fantasy world. What promises are you referring to that NATO violated? (real ones not just ones you imagined) Putin promised multiple times that he would never invade Ukraine, though he also promised he would never change the Russian constitution to allow him to become leader for life. The Russian Federation has violated quite a few agreements and treaties since 2014 including: Resolution 1718 (2006) imposing sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, the Budapest Memorandum, the INF Treaty, newSTART Treaty, the Nuclear test ban Treaty, CSCE Final Act 1975; European Convention for the Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms; Statute of the Council of Europe, UN Charter; UN Convention for the Suppression of the Financing of Terrorism; UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide; Corpus of conventions governing the laws and customs of war; International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearance; Convention for the Protection of Cultural Property in the Event of Armed Conflict; UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Racial Discrimination; UN Convention on the Law of the Sea.

@SAapproves Or were you referring to the over 50% of Ukrainian territory has been recaptured? Its 54% actually, this is an objective fact. There aren't any maps on earth that show otherwise. Russia retreated from Kyiv, Kherson, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv and Izium. This adds up.

@agunbiadekubrat8489 Anything in particular? Or are you just here to make idiotic comments with your fellow travelers?

@AlexWolfM What on earth are you talking about? Russia hasn't had any gains in over a year. Russia lost more in its short offensive then Ukraine has in the 4 months of its offensive. Why do you think Russia is dusting off T54's and begging Iran and North Korea for ammo?
2
@AlexWolfM 1) Russia's offensive has been a disaster, far worse then Ukraine's. There is actual photographic evidence to back this up, not just Putin and Shoigu's say so. 2)The 100k comes from the Russian MoD (yesterday I heard 70k you guys need to get your stories straight.) Putin on his September 12th speech claimed they'd destroyed over 18k Ukrainian armored vehicles since the offensive started. An amazing feat considering Ukraine started the war with 7k and received around 4k in aid. Russia must have mastered interdimensional travel and have been destroying Ukraine's army in other timelines. 4)As I said above Russia has spent the past 20 years stroking themselves off as the worlds number 2 army, bending the knee to North Korea is humiliating no matter how you try to spin it. 5)This is untrue As of May 2023 the United States had given Ukraine more than 160 howitzers and more than 2 million 155 mm artillery rounds. For their part, E.U. countries have provided Ukraine with about 350,000 155-millimeter shells in total as of Mar 16, 2023. Those are the most recent numbers i've found, I'm sure numbers are even higher now. Why lie about something that's so easy to google? The US and EU are also investing to increase 155 production by six fold. Also what's your point? A large percentage of the shells from the west are guided munitions that will actually hit their target. The NK shells are ones Russia sold NK decades ago and may or may not work. 6)They said the same thing about the T62, but its been spotted multiple times being used in an MBT role. Russia is using the T54 because their losses have been catastrophic. Imagine if the US invaded Mexico then after almost two years of trench warfare and 6 figure casualties they only controlled around 15% of Mexico (after losing 50% of the territory they once occupied.) Then they dusted off the M26 Pershing and said "don't worry the M26 is cheap mobile fortifications that are used exclusively as defense." What a humiliating joke.

@SAapproves Those news outlets disagree with me about what? Do you have a link? There has been no reduction in western support, this is just a Russian talking point.the fact that Russia has to beg North Korea and Iran for ammo doesn't make them look good, you understand that right? Russia cant even take the Donbas, its a few hours drive from Moscow. They aren't a Superpower, they are hardly a regional power anymore. Where did I say that it wasn't a stalemate? don't put words in my mouth. Zaluzhny is going to say whatever he thinks will get them the most aid. Russia has more men but according to photographic evidence they are losing far more equipment and taking more casualties. edit: oops, looks like your comment got deleted, not sure if you did that or if you ran afoul of youtubes misinformation policy.
1
@AlexWolfM Oh I see you're over here spreading the same lie. As of May 2023 the United States alone had given Ukraine more than 2 million 155 mm artillery rounds. This doesn't include the millions of DPICM the US has sent/is sending.
1
@AlexWolfM E.U. countries have provided Ukraine with about 350,000 155-millimeter shells in total as of Mar 16, 2023. That number is likely higher now. (according to time magazine and politico) I'm also not sure what point you are trying to make. NATO is primarily air first militaries and rely on overwhelming air power to win wars. The US and EU are both also working on a 6 fold increase of 155 production.
1
@AlexWolfM The US is more concerned with destroying Russia's ability to ever wage war again then they are with Ukraine winning the war. They wont allow Ukraine to lose though. I don't agree with this sentiment but thats the way it is.
