@s0ycapitan Which is an artillery round away from being out of action itself. Russia doesn't exactly have a great history with using pontoon bridges, ask the few survivors from the failed Siverskyi Donets river crossing.

@DarkoFitCoach Nobody thinks Ukraine is trying to annex Russia. They will hold this territory for the rest of the war though.

This city is located 5 kilometers away from the occupied territories. There was one place left where the enemy had advanced less than a kilometer. It was the third year of the war. To completely capture the Donetsk region at this rate, it will take another 5 years and around 2 million Russian deaths. Five years and 2 million deaths for an area the size of Delaware.

@DarkoFitCoach Nobody with more than two brain cells think they are trying to annex Russia. They will however hold it until the war is over.

@Rick-zw9kp Russian mil bloggers are in full panic mode, Ukraine just trapped 700 paratroopers and several thousand conscripts by taking out some bridges. Russia is sending its aerospace forces to help defend Kursk. Lot's of people care, it's only Russia's internet cheerleaders pretending this isn't a complete disaster for Russia.

@Rick-zw9kp Ukraine just took out the final bridge trapping several thousand Russian soldiers in the process, Russia is sending it's aerospace forces to Kursk because to try to stop Ukraine because they lack reserves. But yeah, nobody cares. Don't worry though, Putin just put his bodyguard, who has no military experience in charge in Kursk. And made his niece Deputy Minister of Defense.
