@DmitrySabFo Putin: "In just two weeks time Russian troops could gain control of Kyiv and do it easily." Russia 1 TV: "And Kyiv will be taken so quickly, in a day and a half or three days." "Two days and the fall of the city." "It is understood that in a hot war we would defeat Ukraine in two days, what's there to defeat, Jesus its Ukraine. We suppressed those firing points we were talking about in the commercial and that's it" "We'll raise an eyebrow and Ukraine will understand everything, no need for any preludes, we'll take Kyiv."

@mr.patriotjol Russia has multiple failed offensives this war, including its current failed offensives in Kharkiv and the Donbas.

@thecoin5394 The US took Afghanistan in a couple weeks and occupied them for twenty years. There hadn't been an attack on coalition forces in years, the Taliban spent all that time hiding in caves. I think the main problem is you don't understand the difference between an invasion and an occupation.

@mr.patriotjol Russia has taken less territory in their current eastern offensive than Ukraine did in their summer offensive. The Kharkiv offensive has been a disaster, though it still hasn't gone nearly as bad as their first Kharkiv offensive two years ago. No Russia has not taken any major cities. Russia has lost over 15k armored vehicles, the idea that they aren't using their full force is laughable.

@DmitrySabFo Because if that was the case Russia has done a terrible job exploiting it. Ukrainian reserves were already deployed to defend Kharkiv because everyone could see Russia massing forces there. All Russia had to do was sit across the border and keep Ukrainian forces pinned there, safe from shelling because western weapons weren't allowed to be used on Russian land. Instead they decided to walk into the sausage grinder and provided the motivation for western countries to allow Ukraine to use their weapons on Russian territory. It's been one of the most idiotic moves in military history.

@DmitrySabFo Although to be fair it still hasn't been near as bad as Russia's first attempt at Kharkiv.

@thecoin5394 What does this non sequitur have to do with anything? Why not address the topics at hand instead of revealing you have a limited understanding of economics?
