You know Egypt shares a border with Gaza right?

@BTL_LTW The people cheering them on were. Hamas was also elected as the leadership of Gaza.

@yagotta1 Yes, though the goal is to destroy military hardware and weapons, which they wont have time to evacuate not necessarily Hamas itself.

@leealex24 In the 2000 Camp David Summit, Ehud Barak, then Prime Minister of Israel, offered to form a Palestinian state, initially with 73% of the West Bank and 100% of Gaza. In 10 to 25 years, the Palestinian state will expand to 92% of the West Bank. But Yasser Arafat, leader of the PLO, rejected the offer. Over and over Israel has attempted to find a two state solution. Its Hamas and the Palestinians that won't play ball.

@GulfbeachMateo Yes I'm aware Egypt is a different country, maybe you should look up why Egypt has the border closed. You are missing the point. Why doesn't Egypt or other Arab countries take in refugees? Its because Gaza, at this point is basically just a terrorist farm. the reason that none of the middle east countries, which mostly all publicly and loudly supports Palestine, will not take in any Palestinian refugees because taking in Palestinian refugees means inviting Hamas and Hezbollah, which are Iranian surrogate terrorist groups, to take root in their home countries serving Iranians geopolitical ambitions. Iran is not really helping Palestine as they claim, they are using them as throw away human pawns to achieve Iran's own geopolitical ambitions. I watched a video today where Hamas was showing off their tunnel network, why not invite civilians down there? Oh yeah they use them as human shields they dont care about Palestinian civilians.

No they absolutely will not. Arab countries wont even allow Palestinian refugees into their country.

@yagotta1 I'm sure they'd love to but the consequence would be massive civilian casualties, which they don't want. The other alternative to get rid of Hamas personel is sending in ground forces, which is likely going to happen soon. that carries its own risk though. Its a pretty terrible situation all around.

@yagotta1 Israel did declare war though.
