  3.  @mercadorodriguezgerson3549  Prior to Russia's invasion in 2014 less then 10% of Ukrainians wanted to join NATO so your argument makes no sense. Even if that wasn't the case Ukraine is a sovereign country they can decide to do whatever they want without Russia's permission.

  7.  @Männtashsh-Pyrre-m9o  What treaty was being broken? There was never a "no neutral status' no independence" agreement on any treaty signed. However Ukraine was willing to remain neutral as less then 10% wanted to join NATO, that went out the window when Russia invaded in 2014.

Which part of the Belovezh Accords did Ukraine violate? as far as I can see it was Russia violating Ukraine's independence in 2014 that violated the treaty. The end of the existence of the USSR, with the "setting up of lawfully constituted democratic… independent states… on the basis of mutual recognition of and respect for State sovereignty". Establishing on the territory the "right to self-determination" along with "norms relating to human and people’s rights". "Parties guarantee to their citizens, regardless of their nationality or other differences, equal rights and freedoms. When Ukraine withdrew in 2018 it was after Russia invaded, or do you expect a country to maintain a 'treaty o friendship and cooperation' with a country that's actively invading them. Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation, and Partnership between Ukraine and the Russian Federation was an agreement between Ukraine and Russia, signed in 1997, which fixed the principle of strategic partnership, the recognition of the inviolability of existing borders and respect for territorial integrity and mutual commitment not to use its territory to harm the security of each other.
