  1.  @davidandresen8195  It's a common military maxim that you don't open a new front unless you have overwhelming power. You need around 1 million men to take a city like Kyiv, 50000 men won't amount to much isolated on their own. Russia's best shot at attacking from the North was a year and a half ago, and it was a disaster. The northern border now is fortified and mined to eternity.

  4.  @davidandresen8195  The northern border has always been manned. It would be moronic not to. (though Russia did that and allowed the FRL to attack Belgorod). Putin wants Wagner out of the country because they just attempted a coup and he doesn't want them infecting the regular Russian army with their mutinous ideas.
