@earlelkins9086 How do you get Americans to join a World War? Tell them it's nearly finished.

@johngalt3568 Spare a thought for the real heroes of WW1 and WW2 that were "sacrificing" for two and a quarter years before Americans even pulled your boots on.

@dirtypure2023 I think you're missing the biggest point of all. I've never heard any Canadian, Australian or Kiwi say "We saved your ass in World Wars" or "You'd be speaking German now if it wasn't for us", two of America's favourite catchphrases. If you're going to miss 40% of a world war, don't pretend you're the ass saving heroes of that war, it's an insult to the allies that were fighting for years before you even picked up a rifle. I don't have time to elaborate further at the moment but hopefully you get the picture.

@dahawk8574 lol oh stop it. Brits were the Fire Department. Canada, France, Australia, New Zealand were the fire department. Those guys were the first responders, the ones that get to the action immediately. The fire department don't take two and a quarter YEARS to get to the emergency like the United States did.

@earlelkins9086 lol I hope you're not asking that question of me. If you're American and you were asking me, go to the allied war graves of 1939, 1940 and 1941 and ask those guys.

@cdstoc It wasn't our war, either. Or Canada's war, or Australia's or France's war. Look, if your country wants to avoid a world war, that's nobody's business but yours. But don't insult the real heroes of those wars by telling them you saved their asses. Go to the war graves of the allies of 1939, 1940 and 1941 and see what they think of America's "ass-saving".

@dirtypure2023 Absolutely.

@hoatattis7283 And now we hear that Ronald Reagan and Alexander Haig seriously discussed aiding Argentina in the Falklands War. The US President and Haig wanted to tell Argentina the Brits were invading South Georgia on the islands

@yvonneblocker5618 Don't tell me what I mean, you burger-chomping throwback. Thanks.

@yvonneblocker5618 The Channel Islands were practically a whole year AFTER WW2 had already begun. It wasn't "our war", it was originally Poland's war when Germany invaded their nation on 1st September, '39. Britain and France (the real "first responders") declared war on Germany 48 hours later. I'd tell you how many hours it took the USA to join but my mathematical prowess doesn't go that high.
