I have a cat like that which came out of nowhere and just decided to live with me. It was very skinny and terrified of every movement I made but each day she visited, I fed her until she got back to a decent weight. It's now been one year since she came to visit 3 times a day. And she still won't let me touch her, hissing and swinging her paw at me if I even try.
