Whenever I try and do an American accent I either sound like a New York cab-driver or a cowboy with a speech impediment.

@byWishing I can see why you'd think it was an actor but unless he kept acting for over 12 years in one of the most-violent prisons in the world, you're wrong. Trust me, I doubted this video just as much as you did but I used my work to look into his prison time and the guy is genuine.

@lmaolmao8826 lol nobody goes to jail for 12 years purely for attention, man.
31
@lmaolmao8826 Ask your Mother, she'll tell you. Remember, you're the guy thinking a man "went to jail for 12 years to get attention" lol.
24
@lmaolmao8826 LOL. Or else what exactly, you might type in capitals and cry a little more loudly? Look, you said something that was ludicrous. You claimed a man "went to jail for 12 years purely to get attention". Of course he didn't, don't be silly. Now, let's move on, shall we? Thanks. Bye.
16
@lmaolmao8826 Well, be sensible, man. If he wanted attention, there are a lot easier ways to get it than deliberately going to jail for over a decade.

@franciscolopez4494 LOL - Your country hid like cowards for over 2 YEARS! You do realise that, right? While the real allies were fighting a war, your cowardly country was hiding in a corner. If Japan hadn't attacked you first, you'd have hidden from the entire conflict. Home of the brave indeed lol, you were the biggest cowards of both world wars. Here's a joke the real allies told about the USA. "How do you get Americans to join a world war?" "Tell them it's nearly finished."
12
@franciscolopez4494 How do you get Americans to join a World War? Tell them it's nearly finished.
10
@franciscolopez4494 By the way, Francisco, for a nation that loves its guns, how come the USA is always the last to pick one up when a world war starts?
9
무영 Nobody attacked Canada, or Australia, or New Zealand, those brave guys joined the fight in two days. Americans still hadn't joined two YEARS later.
8
@railenherman6482 You are very, very right, my friend. But let's face it, when snaggle-toothed Brits and burger-chomping Americans meet head to head online, it DOES get very funny, too.
8
@franciscolopez4494 Canada joined WW2 in two days. Your nation was still in hiding two YEARS later. (Sorry for repeating myself, but you know how long it takes Americans to get the message lol)
7
@lighthawk3720 Canada didn't really have to join, neither did Australia, or New Zealand, or Britain, or France. Nobody had to join except Poland who were attacked. But don't hide for 2 years from a world war then convince yourselves you were somehow the heroes of that war.

The best English accent done by an American - ever - is Chris Pratt doing his Essex accent on the Graham Norton show. He absolutely nails it.
7
@Megan Rose To be fair, when we try and do an American accent, we usually sound like drunk New York taxi drivers or cowboys with a speech impediment.
7
@lighthawk3720 Go count the number of allies that died in the first two and a quarter years of WW2. Ask them why it mattered.
6
@franciscolopez4494 Of course countries can be judged on freedoms, numbnuts, and the United States just got ranked...........58th.
5
@franciscolopez4494 ok, the USA doesn't even make the top ten most-free countries and "home of the brave"? C'mon, try and get the United States to join a world war.
4
There are some Americans who do Brit accents superbly - Chris Pratt does the best I've ever heard, he nails the Essex accent on the Graham Norton show https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CfmChkOXgvw
4
@railenherman6482 That isn't true. The reason Americans get such a hard time about WW2 is because so many Americans say "You'd be speaking German now if it wasn't for us" when they should be saying "Sorry we took over two years to pick up our rifles and join the fight."
3
@triggeredreplys3865 "Little old England will never experience the power the USA has" lol. Get your school teacher to say the words "British Empire" to you.
3
WhoDarestheMAN gamer How on Earth did you not figure out the original comment was joking?
3
@lighthawk3720 Oh and by the way. Thanks for the United States seriously discussing helping Argentina in the Falklands War.
2
@railenherman6482 ok, since I've been critical of the U.S. all over these comments.........The people in Chicago were very kind to me when I stayed there and I could have found myself in a very difficult situation without them. And the people in Texas are well-mannered, courteous and polite. I've met many Americans through work and love-life and got along well with practically all of them. Don't take these comments too seriously, the United States is a fine country.
2
@triggeredreplys3865 ok, pause for a second and just imagine this. Imagine the British Prime Minister had discussed betraying the US to the Vietnamese in the Vietnam War and had even given them sensitive military details of American intentions. Wouldn't your view of Brits change overnight? Well, your President Ronald Reagan and your Secretary of State Alexander Haig did exactly that to Brits in the Falklands War. They not only discussed aiding Argentina, they gave them secret British military plans. A lot of British military families, including mine, are disgusted at the American Government's betrayal and who can blame them..
2
@chuggaa100 I don't think even you know wtf that was supposed to mean.
2
@ex_philemon You took all those words to explain your nation's cowardice? I'd already explained it to you - you were the biggest cowards of both world wars.
2
@ex_philemon Look, you can't have it both ways. If your country refuses to join a world war, that's nobody's business but yours. But don't stand on the sidelines for 40% of a fight, then join only because you have to, not because you chose to, and then spend the next 75 years telling yourselves you were somehow the "ass saving heroes" because nobody except Americans would buy it. Go ask the allied soldiers who lost their lives in 1939, 1940 and 1941 if the USA "saved their asses."
2
@ex_philemon And you sound like a typical American. You talk a good world war but you hide from 40% of a real world war.
2
That's so true. I live in Cumbria and lots of locals here still use thee, thou and thy.
2
Americans doing Scottish accents are toe-curlingly bad
2
@jacobb.9181 Yes, Scots say "lad"
2
@MelonMafia1 Imagine ranking a country's worth over cheeseburgers.
1
@railenherman6482 You think maybe the original comment had something to do with it, too?
1
lol whereabouts?
1
@Abigail Boots I just watched a video of an Arizona man discussing his accent. It sounds very "generic American", I doubt I could have guessed which part of America he was from just by hearing him talk. By the way, if you want to hear an absolutely perfect English accent by an American, watch Chris Pratt doing an Essex accent on the Graham Norton show. He does it flawlessly.
