@harlemboy413 A 250lb athlete is running full-speed towards you. Would you rather be wearing a helmet and pads or not? Americans are lying to nobody but themselves all over these comments. Most of this comment section is really just Americans trying to make excuses for the helmets and the pads and they know that's what they're doing. It's like Americans lying to themselves about why they didn't join world wars for 40% of the conflict. Cowardice is the word they can't face in themselves.
