@lucindabrashear695 As Einstein wrote - the Bible is just childish, primitive legend. What else but religion could make grown adults believe in talking snakes, talking bushes and talking donkeys?

Which god, there have been thousands of them, all of them suspiciously invisible in 2023. Weird that, huh?

@samuelsnowdon2271 The Bible is really taken from ancient Mesopotamian poetry and remoulded into a religious story, as most other religions were, too. (The Bible gets the "forbidden fruit" part wrong, by the way. In the original poem, it was actually "forbidden flowers". Islam carries similar translations of ancient poetry and makes even more mistakes in the translations. This is non-religious but Sir Lancelot and other alleged "Knights of the Round Table" didn't really ever exist, either, they were characters taken from Welsh poetry. .

@samuelsnowdon2271 "The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weakness, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still purely primitive legends. No interpretation, no matter how subtle, can change this for me. For me the Jewish religion like all other religions is an incarnation of the most childish superstition." (Albert Einstein, letter to Gutkind) Einstein believed in the god of Spinoza, and the god of Spinoza was “the sum of the natural and physical laws of the universe and certainly not an individual entity or creator”.

@samuelsnowdon2271 Oh please, Samuel. "Common myths"? What, you mean like men walking on water, talking snakes, talking bushes and talking donkeys? No thanks, I'll stick with Einstein's view that the Bible is just childish, primitive legend.
