It's the same all over the world, mate. Here in the U.K. a cop called Sergeant Mark Andrews found an elderly woman sleeping in her car. He took her to the police station, twisted her arm behind her back and then threw her - face down - onto the floor of a cell, breaking her face in several places. The event was caught on video, the Sergeant was taken to court and charged with Actual Bodily Harm (the video is here on YouTUbe). He was found guilty, fired from his job and given six months in prison. Some of his own colleagues said it wasn't the first time he'd been violent with women he'd arrested. But, he appealed, his appeal was successful, he was released from prison, given his job back - at the same station - and was reimbursed with all the earnings he lost while he was in jail.
