  7.  @danielprudhoe647  Can you believe these Americans think they were the heroes of WW2? If Japan hadn't attacked them first they'd have hidden from the entire conflict. And even when they do finally show up, they drop the two biggest bombs in history on women and children civilians. Not on military targets - on women and children. Yet they tell themselves they were somehow the heroes of that war.

  14. America supporting Britain for centuries? Ummm, the USA said "it's not our war" to Brits in both world-wars and only joined when they had zero other option left. And did you know that the USA secretly gave Argentina sensitive British military plans about the invasion of South Georgia in the Falklands War because they thought "It would be better for the United States if Argentina won this war"? If you doubt that, just look up "How the U.S. Almost Betrayed Britain" and you'll never claim Americans support us again.

  15. Allies? The USA refused to join WW1 for nearly 3 years, they refused to join WW2 for over 2 years and they genuinely discussed with Argentina how to defeat the Brits in the Falklands War. Allies they most certainly are NOT.

BUT .... my goodness me, Americans are subjected to such propaganda about other nations and many Americans believe it, too. An American once asked me "What's it like living in England where you can't buy your own property?" and "Are Brits generally grateful to the US for paying for your NHS?"

  31.  @scotthawkings  I'm a Brit but I've lived in the US and I found them to be much more polite, especially in shops. Nobody ever called me "sir" here when giving me my change, in Texas it seemed fairly standard.
