  1. Did you know that the USA is now the only English-speaking country that doesn't make the top ten nations for freedoms? It's 20th. Today's powers in America have transformed the meaning of "freedom" into "freedom to financially screw whoever you can".

  2. Exactly. The NHS is constantly voted "Most Loved Aspect of British Society" by Brits themselves. I think in the US, there's almost a pride thing with their politicians - they'd prefer not to relent and admit "Yeah. The Brits do it better".

  3. Edgehead, I don't disagree with everything you say - and you express your beliefs lucidly - but you are only shooting yourself in both feet by claiming Adolf Hitler was a left-wing socialist. No matter how many times you type it, or tell yourself it's true, it's mind-numbingly self-defeating. You won't stop typing it but you should.
