@spectrumstudios4848 To be fair, dropping two nuclear bombs on innocent women and children is fairly evil by anyone's standards.

@rideoutsean You're very wrong. There were ZERO leaflets dropped to citizens of Hiroshima in any language. America feared that dropping leaflets would alert the Japanese military to their intentions - and dropped no leaflets warning of the impending nuclear bomb.

@ianranstadler1983 You should keep watching. There were NO leaflets dropped on Hiroshima. None.

@lonewave1 Myths About the Atomic Bombing of Hiroshima "There were warning leaflets dropped prior to the bombing" In fact, no leaflets were dropped to the city of Hiroshima prior to the bomb. The omission was deliberate: The United States feared that the Japanese, being forewarned, would shoot down the planes carrying the bombs. And since Japanese cities were already being destroyed by incendiary and high-explosive bombs on a regular basis — nearly 100,000 people were killed the previous March in the firebombing of Tokyo — there was no reason to believe that either the Potsdam Declaration or Truman’s speech would receive special notice. (USJ report, reprinted in the Washington Post, "5 Myths About the Atomic Bomb")

@lonewave1 They're all ludicrous and apologetic excuses for dropping nuclear bombs on women and children. Even if leaflets were dropped (and they weren't), where were those women and children expected to go, and how would they get there? And how would they get food where they travelled to? And how far from the nuclear bombs would they have needed to travel to escape all the effects? They're excuses and apologies for the biggest war crime in human history.

@rootbeerconnoisseur Where's your source that there were pamphlets dropped? Most of the original claims that these pamphlets were dropped were simply cover-ups by the US government and later debunked. The Washington Post ran a story saying no pamphlets were dropped.
1
@Mr_Bones. The female narrator was also 100% correct, though. Look it up.
1
@lonewave1 It wasn't a lie. There were NO pamphlets dropped.
1
@rideoutsean You've got the whole Internet in front of you. Look it up and see it from a reliable source. No leaflets were dropped. None.
1
@indridcold8433 Of course there weren't any warnings given.
1
@Kimtron142 It's probably a good idea to do actual research yourself. There were leaflets dropped on Japanese cities for conventional bombing but NONE for the atomic bombs. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/five-myths-about-the-atomic-bomb/2015/07/31/32dbc15c-3620-11e5-b673-1df005a0fb28_story.html?utm_term=.251ce9e53070

@kyles7773 There were NO warning leaflets dropped for Hiroshima or Nagasaki.
1
@rootbeerconnoisseur The leaflets there were for conventional bombing raids. But for the two atomic bombs, no warning leaflets were dropped. https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/five-myths-about-the-atomic-bomb/2015/07/31/32dbc15c-3620-11e5-b673-1df005a0fb28_story.html?utm_term=.251ce9e53070
1
@Magnet12 And you think that's worse than dropping two nuclear bombs on women and children?
1
@lonewave1 There's links throughout this video showing that the pamphlets were dropped for conventional bombing raids but none were dropped for the nuclear bombings.

@indridcold8433 The leaflets were dropped for conventional bombing raids in various targets of Japan but there were no leaflets dropped for the nuclear bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
1
@kyles7773 Well then borrow some intelligence and knowledge and help it prevail. There were no leaflets dropped for Hiroshima or Nagasaki. That's just a fact. If you can't handle facts, ask an ostrich for what to do next.
1
@indridcold8433 I can't say this any more clearly than I already have. Yes, there were many leaflets dropped on many places in Japan. But not for the nuclear bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. As the Washington Post states "There was never any specific warning to the cities that had been chosen as targets for the atomic bomb prior to the weapon’s first use. The omission was deliberate: The United States feared that the Japanese, being forewarned, would shoot down the planes carrying the bombs. And since Japanese cities were already being destroyed by incendiary and high-explosive bombs on a regular basis — nearly 100,000 people were killed the previous March in the firebombing of Tokyo — there was no reason to believe that either the Potsdam Declaration or Truman’s speech would receive special notice.2" (Gregg Herken is an emeritus professor of U.S. diplomatic history at the University of California and the author of “The Winning Weapon: The Atomic Bomb in the Cold War” )

@kyles7773 Gregg Herken is an emeritus professor of U.S. diplomatic history at the University of California and the author of “The Winning Weapon: The Atomic Bomb in the Cold War”. "There was never any specific warning to the cities that had been chosen as targets for the atomic bomb prior to the weapon’s first use. The omission was deliberate: The United States feared that the Japanese, being forewarned, would shoot down the planes carrying the bombs. And since Japanese cities were already being destroyed by incendiary and high-explosive bombs on a regular basis — nearly 100,000 people were killed the previous March in the firebombing of Tokyo — there was no reason to believe that either the Potsdam Declaration or Truman’s speech would receive special notice." I'm fairly sure that Mr. Herken's account is more reliable than Leon Fury's on YouTube. And sir, I'm not a liar, so don't call me one again.
1
@kyles7773 I'm not a liar, sir. So be careful with your wording to people in future.
1
@kyles7773 I know the truth, yes. No leaflets were dropped for the atomic bombs of Hiroshima or Nagasaki. End of story.
1
@kyles7773 I'll let you read it again, just so you can cure the misguidance in your belief. "There was never any specific warning to the cities that had been chosen as targets for the atomic bomb prior to the weapon’s first use. The omission was deliberate: The United States feared that the Japanese, being forewarned, would shoot down the planes carrying the bombs."

@kyles7773 lol I bet I do.
1
@kyles7773 lol you mean I proved you wrong and you've got nowhere to go. Have a great day, mate.
