@johnriggs4929 He wasn't saying the police officers were right, he was saying arguing and being aggressive towards them is only giving them a reason to make their behaviour towards you even worse.

@johnriggs4929 I totally agree with you. My reasoning here was because I was once arrested for something I clearly didn't do. When I was released without charge, I complained to the Police Complaints Commission who responded with an apology and said that it would be dealt with internally. Every night for the next nine days, two police officers knocked on my door with invented complaints such as "We've had complaints about the noise". I would respond aggressively calling them liars and they simply reappeared the next night with different reasons. I got so exasperated by it all, the final time they came, I was extremely polite (faking it) and they never returned. I realise that was submitting to their misbehaviour but at least it stopped them coming.
