Hmmm my understanding, dollar is weaker, our products are cheapest to export, foreign products are more expensive to import, thus a mechanism to reduce trade imbalance Ie China manipulates its currency to cheapen its exports so everyone buys its products Hence a super strong dollar is not necessarily a good thing
