  1. Zelensky cannot legally give up Ukraine land in a peace deal, it’s not allowed by the Ukrainian constitution, so that’s a nonstarter. The western powers would never legally recognize the 4 eastern Oblasts as Russian territory. At some point there may be a cease fire and the lines frozen but even if Trump recognizes Russian sovereignty over the land, as soon as a democratic administration comes in they would just reverse trump’s position
