  1. In France. Judges / magistrates are strictly appointed government employees, not like here in the us. So they are definitely political animals and in the case of France, where liberals have been in power for 30 years, all the judges are very left wing. This decision was obviously a political hit job to dis allowing her to run, since it was obvious the right was going to win the next election and she would have been the next PM
