As much as this is an absolute tragedy, California citizens have voted in liberal democratic politicians at all levels, from local councils, city councils, all state positions, into all top positions of the police and fire departments, mayors, governor next for the last 25 years. The people have gone along with all of the bad policies put in place by these elected officials. Highest tax rates in the country 24 billion spent on the homeless over the last several years and even more on subsidies to support illegal immigrants in the state with service, but they cut the police and fire department budgets every year for the last several years. I believe it was Obama who coined the phrase elections have consequences
