  1. In 1997 I bought my first house at age 30 at an interest rate of 7.5% and at the time it was a good 30 year fixed rate. In the early 70s my farther purchased our home at A 13% 30 year fixed rate. The difference is absolutely no one saves or sacrifices . 6 years after I bought my house I refinanced at 3.4%. But changed to,a 15 year mortgage so my payment was the same. I paid it off in 12 years and at 60 my wife and i still live in it and invested in complete renovations It’s possible but no one now is willing to make the necessary sacrifices Young people will drop $10 a day for a coffee at Starbucks without blinking an eye, but not save or invest a,penny per month and live off their credit cards
