During my internship and residency years on average we worked 80-100 hours a week, My internship year in 1995 I earned 23 k lived in a small 2 bedroom cheap apt with a roommate And did this for 3 years. As a physician I lived in a small one bedroom apt for another 3 years and took extra call nights for my older partners to make more money to pay off all my student loans Sorry the younger generations raised on social media are just weak.

  3. Americans are economically illiterate, the average car payment is $600, average monthly phone bill # 180; cable $300 with cable and subscriptions, eating out ect. Americans live above their means and actually spend on the things they NEED, not all the things they want

  4. A car is an immediate depreciating asset, the second you drive it off the lot its value drops 5 - 10% And most people are paying stupid interest rates. Americans view cars as a status symbol and change it every 3-4 years and just roll the negative equity into the new car.
