picture that, i interrupted a political video to watch this as soon as i noticed the notification

he is trying to become a diesel! it is TRANS diesel motor. you need to let him be.

this video beats all traditional educational movies by a landslide.
91
@d4a you was sitting to the side of it.

i loved the Chocolate Pudding explanation -- this is the mastery of math-logic
10
ironically there is quite a lot of wasted electricity hidden in the nuclear generation, that could be used for no cost, but not by the EV in their current form -- Lithium is a very bad method of transporting and storing electricity
7
no chance it is THAT GOOD, but the fact that the man behind it actually TALKED, make me think it is not a fake.
5
i misread the title as resurrection of the idea of a 2-stroke engine for a bike :)
5
come on! i can find BRUSHES AND COMMUTATORS in the biggest and the most powerful electric vehicles on earth Freight locomotives!
4
the ignition pulses put over a tyre is a perfect visualization!
4
THIS IS REAL!
3
this scavenging thing appears to require to hit certain acoustic resonance
3
i like the compound fact when the low pressure compressor simply allows all gasesses thru until there is enough pressure gradient to spool it -- so smart!!! a non-spinning compressor is a hole
2
energy is not expensive enough to invest in mechanical devices that produce miniscule amounts intermittently. (the gas stoves solution is good though)
2
this intake design seems to require supercharging in order to FIT the intake into the provided "window"
2
i adore your reactions
2
let's all move to gas turbines and forget your secondary balance !
2
i am not a car-enthusiast, i learn how great minds thought
2
finally someone made something HIGHLY APPROPRIATE in this age of anti-goods and digital diarrhea!
2
@bluewanderer9903 imagine being a software developer with 30+ years of exp, watching the DECAY of the entire "digital" industry into anti-useful gadgets that have more memory each than ALL COMPUTERS IN THE WORLD 40 years ago, incapable of performing simple tasks that w0 years ago i wont even consider a task per se.
2
very simple: the best way to carry electricity around is benzine (cerosine, methane, propane etc) but then you realize that ALUMINUM is also a great FUEL :) and you must think how to convert it into electricity skipping the "heat" part :)
1
also!!! 1 HP, exactly 1 HP exerted by an actual living horse pulls a plow. no amount of your racing car's horsepowers could pull a plow.
1
bro, you need to explain trigonometry to make your point regarding torque :)
1
but with all modern accelerometers and gyros you cam measure the slip angle in real time in a moving car!!!
1
AREA? low pressure AREA? are you sure?!
1
wow! the relevance of the video footage!
1
i love your estimate of the lag quantity! it is eye-opening! your insights must be made into mathematics textbooks for schools.
1
could you comment on "ELENORE 868" is it a hopeless dead end? how do you analyze its mech?
1
your explanation does not generalize to other industries. i work in IT -- this is 100% planned obsolecence AND WORSE, WAY WORSE -- things pare purposefully made broken bicycle industry is a nightmare of "discontinued" spare parts. electronic industry is same: they simply change the socket types every month and make everything incompatible.
1
1-stroke is mathematically impossible. it does not have a SYMMETRY to return itself to the starting point. the picture that disagreed, simulates this simmetry by DOUBLING the combustion locations, so it does burn on each "stroke" but in ALTERNATING LOCATIONS, which is 2-location cycle, not 1.
1
why piston engines more effective than turbines? given the moving parts and oscillating forces, how is it possible? should we do something to turbines?
1
it is possible that NiT coating reduces the friction drag of the compressor surface by some small amount.
1
@d4a it does provably create more slippery surface, and it is more slippery for metal to metal contact as well as metal to gas contact, even at low pressure this drag would be measurable. nut it shouldn't be big of course.
1
induction is a function of the first time-derivative of the magnetic flux, which means effective induction loves HIGHER FREQUENCY, which in turn means high RPM. higher than needed for a EV. whereas a brush motor torques like a mule on the near zero RPM, the more you stall it the more it torques.
1
i would enjoy a simpler smaller SHORT RANGE electric "commuter" car but instead the EVs are trying to occupy a niche that does not belong to them. like AT ALL.
1
the chirality of the turbine still seems wrong
1
You showed Li atom inside a Pb battery! is it a hidden insult?
1
here is an idea. your car produces a ton of waste heat. there exists NH3 refrigeration cycle that uses a heater INSTEAD of a compressor. you can add a compressor-less refrigerator that utilizes waste heat to cool down intake air. and by "cool down" i mean way below 0C, there is a way to intake air that is way below ambient.
1
by 12% of Si, i hope you meant 12/1000
1
why aren't we using electric air pumps to pump the air in at an optimal flow for every regime? electric motors are infinitely controllable.
1
second like for mentioning bicycles !!!! i ride one with larger discs, they also let you control your braking easier
1
u r calling the "sunset" a bit too early, like 100..200 years too early
1
your temp loss by pipe diameter analysis is incorrect. thermo exchange is not a function of the surface area, there are more important variables.
1
it does not "distribute" air, it makes the flow more laminar
1
the limit on the incadecent lamps lifecycle was a cartel agreement -- IT IS NOT EVEN A SECRET.
1
speaking of timer belts/chains, since we've already poisoned all engines with electronic through and through, why don't we do valve timing electronically without belts/chains, and camrods, just effing SOLENOIDS.
1
@ginox1x792 i yeld
1
@nelsonfilho6779 why (1)? there is no reason in a motor to force valves opening at any particular time -- you are completely free to decide when to open and close. (2) perhaps. so what?
1
balancing rods add new forces -- more dynamic load on the parts
