using TIME to wash dishes to save water, electricity and chemicals is a brilliant idea.

you absolutely convinced me to go for a powder or gel detergent. this is my choice now.

the moment i've seen those needles i said NO to this opener, forever.

propane burner inside a tent seems tempting, but, man, it produces TONS of water!

until he started ranting about "humanitarian problems"

@ShinoPuppy i used about 30..40% acetic acid as rinse aid (having painfully hard water in the region too) the results are quite good, still require some tweaking but you get the idea. I also tried a couple table spoons of 30% NaOH in the tub for the first fill (you are seeing my idea to get cheaper than brandname detergents) same thing, significant improvement but still requires tweaking. NaOH particularly helped me with the filter it just dissolves so much filth from the filter itself that everything works better. And i noticed that Finish is very aggressive against some of my Knives, and my knives are expensive, i switched Finish for "Minel", a Henkel's brand, it is ENZYMATIC and supposedly not that alkaline -- my knives love it.

@ehrichweiss whatever filth you remove mechanically from the filter, would end up in the water cycle otherwise! pros and cons, bro

@marley7145 i was using salt until i bought some "Azure" brand that turned my entire machine into a lime deposit to the p[oint of failure! i had to clean and fix and reseal it... and since i am looking for alternative solutions to salt... sadly i have no idea what was exactly wrong with that particular salt, and how is it even possible to precipitate lime so dramatically... ma machine kept producing white residue on dishes for the 10 or so subsequent cycles after the repair.

@jcgamer892 i can compare "Gorenje" with "Bosch" -- Bosch engineering is pure brilliance, it also lasts quite sufficiently, and it is not complicated to repair, Not all modern machines are designed to fail, mostly the iPhones are.
3
well, they paid for it in BLOOD -- they revolted, and you had not.

oscilloscopes use MULTIPLE BEAMS, so it is perfectly logical for them to add a colour shatter to give those beams colour-difference

in my native lang there is no word for brown :) we call it "yellow".

and this "gold plating" is most likely TiN3

i russia those things are called "kero-gas"

disconactable terminals of the circuit breakers -- that's the most american absurdity here
1
@billelkins994 we have them tighten with a screw. the body of a breaker is "snap-on" like yours, but the terminals accept wires under a pressure pad with a screw. thus the electrical and mechanical connections are separate.
1
@billelkins994 it does not make me feel any better because the pressure applied to the electrical contact of the breaker is merely some spring tention.
1
@billelkins994 one more is exactly ONE MORE. whenever you deal with higher currents, you try to avoid high resistance contacts, dont you? do your oven or water heater have a plug? no!
1
@ericl2969 > We need more people like you you dont, believe me

Glycerol is there because it is cheaper to leave than to remove :)

spring memory device is amazing! a memory stored as mechanical energy :)
1
this machine SOLVES THE PROBLEM!
1
i am planning to install a ground source heatpump. the harderst part is to explain anyone that i am not asking for a n airconditioner.
1
it is not enough for you that you lost control of "your" telephone and PC, you desire to lose control of your air-conditioner and water-heater, Cooking hob and refrigerator coming soon!
1
You just convinced me to LOVE midwesterners!
1
and these are the smae people who scream at you for not wearing a bullshit mask!
1
there is one more argument against gas: IT IS EASY TO DILUTE! they effectively sell you certain % of air for the price of methane, and there is no method to complain about it.
1
i believe they made it split phase for archaic 2-phase sync motors.
1
@billelkins994 90 deg creates vibration. i have seen motors that require manual start, i thought they are 180 deg
1
buy 100m of LED strips, run it at 7mA with a custom powersupply of your choice.
1
optical amplifiers are not passive, they take energy input in a form of a laser beam, in a sense they are just that AMPLIFIERS, but they use photons instead of electrons.
1
quote: "A significant point is that the erbium gives up its energy in the form of additional photons which are exactly in the same phase and direction as the signal being amplified." which means: optical amplifier is a LASER with laser pumping and modulated discharge, the problem here is rather the dissipation of energy that does not need to be sent down the line, because signal has its "shape" -- that's unclear to me

using TTF on a visibly pixelated display is a TORTURE to healthy eyes.
1
the problem is the thermal capacity times thermal conductivity of your soil.
1
learning about things that you could never imagine existing in the first place
1
hot water piping running through the cities and form a power plant to a city are real pain. this insulation always decays in no time... thermal expansion creates leaks... and the end user does not get it any cheaper than to burn your own gas.
1
putting them in outlets is smart. requiring them is anticonstitutional.
1
@redbaron6805 and? what is your point?
1
@redbaron6805 u r wrong.
1
@redbaron6805 the 9th
1
@redbaron6805 yes, of course, Scalia has more authority than The Constitution!
1
@redbaron6805 the idiocy and the circularity of your statement is hilarious.
1
@redbaron6805 u r a gift that keeps on giving
1
@redbaron6805 THE EXEMPLARY SHEEPLE!
1
no. we do not need to be fixing somebody else's problems.
1
@flp322 i call them eyePhones collectively
1
those nominals of capacitors are usually +80% -10% !
1
speaking of plugs, your american flat terminals are way superior to idiotic round european. but your plugs lack mechanical rigidity because all the gripping and ALIGNMENT are provided by the electrical contacts -- it is an atrocily (same in ussr + round terminals = disaster)

can we create a 2-stage lava? adding third substance that floats inside the wax?

computers are Turing-Complete, this thing isn't
