@reallivingtv1662 With the recency bias and ever growing fanbase it seems all time greats like Randy Couture and Dan Henderson are being forgotten about.

One of the greatest performances in MMA history
25
@kkk-yj8re Joe Son did that crime before the UFC

Randy would have definitely tried to clinch and smother Cro Cop against the cage but Cro Cop was very strong and was a very good defensive grappler, if Cro Cop can keep it in the middle I believe he'd knock Couture out, Cro Cop knocks out Sylvia easy too.

I wonder how the fight would have gone if they kept it going, Hall was a tough guy who was always outsized.

Kimo mentioned in a shoot interview that his Taekwondo "Black belt" Was basically awarded to him by Joe Son's brother due to the fact that he could pull off all the kicks pretty good although he only trained in it a little when he was a child, they got Joe Son's brother to grade him and give him it so they could use it to get into UFC. Other than that pre UFC, Kimo had wrestled in high school which he primarily used in his MMA career. That was all his background consisted of when he first fought Royce Gracie, he had played football in college and was a bouncer so he was a strong/athletic guy which I'm sure had a tough guy reputation in the street.

Realistically Kimo should have been allowed back into the tournament and fight Harold Howard, but at the same time Jennum was awesome and I loved him whooping Melton Bowen at UFC 4.

Yup Horn is the man, he literally didn't care whether someone was a top ranked fighter or a club fighter as he was just willing to fight them all and get paid. Won fights from Middleweight all the way up to heavyweight with victories over Liddell, Griffin, Sonnen, Yvel etc you can't not respect that.

Art wouldn't have beaten anyone in this tournament
3
He won two fights and made it to the finals of UFC 7

@PickpocketJones It Was great marketing and Art Jimmerson was definitely a sacrificial lamb for Royce but his win over Ken Shamrock was very impressive and he beat Gordeau who was the best striker of the tournament.

@joeclark1621 Randy wasn't better than Chuck as Chuck proved that in the rematches. Also Tito had no choice but to stand with Chuck because he couldn't take him down, Chuck was actually a better wrestler than Tito.
2
I always found it interesting how Shogun is considered the better striker but was the one who kept initiating the grappling exchanges.

The Earthquake confrontation was a stalemate

@streetplaya23 I don't think he quit to be honest as his nose was damaged pretty bad, yes Yuki Nakai was a badass, he should not have continued that tournament though as not feeling immediate treatment is what made him half blind.

Yeah but Remco was over 6'0 which makes him more desirable 😂
