Don't diss Pythag dude, you know his name for a reason.

@ProfessorDaveExplains Science wasn't invented then. It's conflation. Terrence mentioned Pythag so I must dismiss Pythag. It's the "Hitler drank water!" argument.

Do you drink water?

@ProfessorDaveExplains Obviously it's high grade toxic mind fart, but even lunatics talking about ancient alien Egyptians are talking about a bricks and mortar reality. I don't like the "adjacent to a bad thing" way of looking at things, and I thought it was a bit cheap regarding one of the founding fathers of early empirical understanding. He wasn't some dude who made up stuff about frequencies and the planets - his explanation for frequency is still valid today, and he was a revolutionary mathematician. Just because he cited by some nut job doesn't make him a nut job. There were few closer to being a "scientist" in his day.

@ProfessorDaveExplains Okay, I stopped talking, but if you really want to get into it calling the works of one of the great thinkers if the past "baseless conjecture and whimsy" is pinning your colours to the mast.

@ProfessorDaveExplains And is there any need to be so rude?
1
@ProfessorDaveExplains My point remains. You remember at school the stuff with the triangles? If it's outdated, why did you learn it?
1
@ProfessorDaveExplains I did listen, I heard rude. You picked the most ridiculous aspect of his work because for some reason you felt that that evidenced your point about some Hollywood nutjob. It would be fine to take said nutjobs words apart without making it sound like Pythag was an ancient lunatic.

I'm leaving it there. I don't know who you or the Terrence guy are. I tried 15 seconds of your video and realised what you were doing, and I shan't be watching any more. All the best.

@ProfessorDaveExplains One last thing - what science was he searching for? Because I have no idea. Do you, and why? What on earth was Pythagoras searching for? Was it the "music of the spheres?". Are you sure? Maybe the crackpot quoting whatever Mr P might have thought 3ish thousand yeras is enough material. It was cheap and you know it.
