  25. They actually don't need to think. I went to a 95% public/private school university. They got 3 top A levels, and are thick as planks. It takes 20k a year to train them to the test, and they come out with a love for Pre-Raphaelite paintings, poncy literature and the ability to shoe horn the words oxymoron, dichotomy and problematised into every sentence.

  29. We have forgotten. The whole point was not about national identity. All of our young men died needlessly. That was the big message. I really dislike that poppy and the Union flag are symbols of remembrance in the UK. We should respect the flags of all the nations involved, because a whole generation of young men died needlessly,, regardless of nation. When the German boys surrendered the allied troops let them pass, and they shared what they had with them, swapping momentos. That was what "Lest we forget" was all about. We have forgotten.
