  1. Not always indoctrinated by parents. When everyone except the parents is affirming including the NHS, school, the government and other relatives, it can be very very hard to turn the ship around.

  4.  @SageDog  I'm not saying the is a causal relationship between the fall of anorexia and increase in trans, but it correlates very closely. Been divorced about 10 years, but my kid has a close relationship with both of us individually. I don't think that makes up for a family alas.
