  1. I'm an atheist and have been for 30 odd years. Dawkins and his campaign has been less than helpful, In my opinion. His God Delusion book utterly disgusted me, it was naive and over-simplistic. Peterson never seems to cheapen the discussion.

  2. I'm certainly not a deist personally. I felt that Dawkins was naive because of his misunderstanding about the middle east, and the roots of the current issues there. Many people cannot let go of the idea that there must be a creator, but if you gain some understanding of cosmology and evolutionary biology, it negates the need for any agent to get the ball rolling. Incidentally Dawkins other books are excellent.

  4. It's the old "There's no atheists in foxholes" gag. I won't get into a discussion about whether the Bible is allegorically or literally true, or not. People will believe what they want to, including myself.
