You have to renounce your citizenship as well to get them to stop, and if you publicize that that was Why you did so, they blacklist you from entering the USA (to, say, visit family) thereafter. Also, they don't tell you any of this until the first time they start harassing you for non-payment, and their method of calculating what tax you owe is nonsense.
