The mayor not actively helping your neighbour keep your pool (and oh, by the way, the Mayor wants you to give him all you furniture for the privilage of having had him resolve the issue) would not start ww3 (or, if we actually make it fit the analogy, cause a city wide riot).

@remag-yx4ed It's not. Because the pre-ww2 appeasement was entirely a product of the UK and France not being ready for another war yet and needing time to rearm and recover. Which they did. Hence why they were able to act (...sort of...) when Hitler invaded Poland. This isn't anything of the sort, this is just Trump being an incompitent moron who is screwing over the USA, and it's allies, and basically bringing down the world order, because he has an excessively fragile ego and the social skills of a todler... and somewhere along the way deciding that his grand ambition was to emulate Putin as much as possible... except he's bad at that too. Think less France or the UK and more Italy.
