@andrewmedlar214 well, it'd work if you can convince the relevant authorities to pass laws against what amounts to land (in this case housing) speculation and restricting non-resident ownership. Renting a property out is fine. Doesn't really matter who owns it, so long as their rates are reasonable and they actually maintain the building properly. Intentionally pricing it out of the market so no one rents it, (which is somehow a tax dodge and is causing major problems in the New York commercial real estate sector) is Not.
