Nah, that's just an added bonus.

I'm pretty sure it's less "see, he Can drink water with one hand!" And more "yeah! Stupid libtards were Wrong! Yeah!" ... In so much as there's anything to it beyond being trained to applaud or cheer when the guy on stage pauses for the reaction. Still pretty pathetic, mind, just for different reasons.

Point of order: they're not Germans and this is not the 1930s/40s. They're not nazis (and most of them are in Entirely the wrong demographic to be Neonazis). Absolutely Fascists though. Just, you know, Modern American flavour.

The death penalty is Abit awkward. There are crimes for which it's absolutely a valid and correct sentence to apply (this is what the people in favour of it keep banging on about, and those Against the death penalty frequently, wrongfully, try to argue against this point). The problem, of course, is that even actually Good criminal justice systems (a list which does not include that found in the USA) are not sufficiently reliably accurate at determining guilt (or lack there of), and there's no way to undo or correct for failures in the event that a wrongfully convicted individual is already dead... Naturally those in favour of the death penalty in the modern western world like to just completely ignore this bit. There are situations where other factors must be weighed against that, but you'd be hard pressed to find those in a modern nation-state that hasn't already imploded.

It's not what Trump wants to do, so it's bad. It is what an opponent wants to do, so therefore it Must have negative consequences for his side by definition, so it is worse. Remember, Trump's answer to "a rising tide lifts all boats" is "yeah, but if I sink all the others it'll lift mine higher".

Propaganda, mostly.

That would be a net positive though. Most American suburbs are terribly designed, even ignoring arguments for and against suburbs in general...

Not as bad as "let them eat cake" . But still pretty bad. Also, the original line wasn't as out of touch as is often portrayed, so much as it was calously dismissive. The "cake" in question was the accumulated stray bits that built up in the ovens over time between cleanings.

@recoswell not sure how that's sexist? Inappropriate for a bunch of other reasons though.

Err, you might be overstating the "rest of the world" bit there.

Oh, I'll totally believe what they found. What they Say they found, and what He says they found, are an entirely different matter.
