@True_you_coming_through In that in New Zeland they are called 'kiwifruit', because a Kiwi is either an endangered bird or a person from New Zealand. The reason everyone else refers to the Fruit as kiwis is, if I remember correctly, because american military lableing would mark boxes or crates of kiwifruit as 'k1w1', and it spread from there. (seriously, if you say something about eating a kiwi in NZ people are going to wonder if you're engaging in poaching or cannibalism... for the half second it takes them to realise your accent isn't local.)

@ezbody as an added bonus, the logo shows up right on the spot on the tweet that the 'close' button would be... if they had one.

@jaimedelgado7529 I've encountered people where I live who will say 'Lux' (another brand that was very common in some parts) instead. Took me a while to get used to, because Most people where I live say 'vacuum', and the few I'd encountered who didn't did, indeed, say 'hoover'.
