@duncanquick8282 HCQ was removed because those who received it were more likely to die than those that got no treatment. Doctors won't use something that kills patients, that's not unreasonable.

Kennett closed the infectious diseases hospital. If folks could have been quarantined properly there we wouldn't be in the debacle that we are in. He's part of the problem.

Hundreds of children are dying from Covid19 the world over. Parents are speaking out about their healthy children dying from Covid29 without pre-existing conditions. Children being alive is really important. If we let them die like they are in US then we have no moral leg to stand on.

Sweden has not reached herd immunity. They are half our population so you would have to doubt their death count. Sweden let all those people die for nothing as they have the same economic hit as the surrounding countries that are now opening up but won't let Sweden travel/work with them. So the economic hit will continue as the other countries recover. Sweden also uncounted their death rate as well. The head epidemiologist said he did it wrong and too many people died. Their businesses are not doing well as even without a lock down people are staying home as they don't trust the situation to be safe. It's worth researching and finding out the facts.

@ynical But that doesn't mean all asymptomatic aren't spreading the virus. You can get it again and spread it again. Children without pre-existing conditions are dying. That's being covered up by the Australian media.

Yr 11S & 12 were able to look up the Australian Constitution to find out that quarantine and aged care are federal responsibilities. They also found out the security companies hired on are on the secure list of those companies vetted and found appropriate for the organisations like the ADF to use. Some basic research can prevent a lot of paranoia. Do you think the ADF is abdicating their responsibilities?

This is a complete misrepresentation. All of the other states & territories can keep Covid19 positive people in quarantine indefinitely. So Covid19 positive people can be kept apart from the rest of us. It's the basics to keep everyone safe. Before making things up just do some basic research. All the other states and territories are indefinite so if you are going to freak out about Victoria be balanced and honest and do the same thing for every other state and territory. Actually read, research and watch a press conference. You are over blowing this, which could cause more more virus spread as people fail to take it seriously which is the problem that got Victoria into lockdown. This legislation is not about lock downs indefinitely. Please stop lying so much. You are not helping. We need to open up our economy which we can't do if the health messages are under mined.

The top 250 companies avoid enough tax each 3 months to pay Centrelink for each Australian for 5 years. If one company pays tax for 1 year that's an UBI for all Australians for 20 years. We have enough money to look after everyone. We all pay more tax that the major companies. Pay everyone to stay home for 3 months and it can all be stamped out.

That's not true. Victoria is only locked down due to the spread of Covid19. NSW has a lot of community spread and if they don't get it under control soon. It will go in to lock down. As Gladys is lying about hot spots and not reporting them, people don't know where not to go so that is going to be a problem.

@dianesoper708 The flu is very different from Covid19. Two weeks after testing positive from the flu folks are better. Months after having mild Covid19 young people without pre-existing conditions are stroking out, have lung damage, heart problems, can't walk from the bedroom to the lounge room, (after being runners) and have serious vascular issues. Some of their kidneys are shutting down.
