In New Hampshire the majority of the Nikki Halley's voters said, in the exit polls, that they will vote for Biden and not Trump. If Trump can't get the Independents, moderates, women and swing voters, he is unlikely to win in the battle ground states. These are important nuances to understand.
That Halley got so close to him means he's got serious problems in the General Election with swing voters, moderates, Independents and women. Primaries are different to General Elections.
Trump will always keep his base, but he cannot win without the 7-11% of moderates, swing voters and Independents.
Every time Trump runs Halley down, he loses more women, Republican women are jumping ship due to the lack of reproductive health care.
