Third trimester abortions are very rare, to save the mother or another foetus or because foetal anomalies mean a stillbirth is inevitable. I had another friend who had an ectopic pregnancy. The foetus was developing in her oviduct and not her uterus. She would have painfully died without an abortion. When you are sitting with someone bleeding out and the blood is gushing out of them it is overwhelming and terrifying. We can't let these women die like they did before Roe vs Wade. 1% of abortions occur after 21 weeks in America are when the foetus dies, does not have an organ such as a brain, one foetus dies and the twin needs saving or to save the life of the mother. These situations need to be dealt with by the doctor and the patient. The trauma of losing you hoped for child is high. Doctors end up dealing with suicidal patients at times. Politicians who do not understand the dangers and biology of pregnancies are not useful or appropriate in these circumstances. In fact their ignorance and misinformation means it becomes more dangerous to become pregnant. Maternal deaths have risen 54% in Texas since abortion bans were put in place.

They work 2-3 jobs and can't pay rent and buy food for their children. Taking a shift off means their kids won't eat. 60% of Americans are reading and writing at a 6th Grade level. 1 in 3 of these are reading and writing at an 8 year old level. This means that they haven't progressed from concrete to abstract thinking. They do not understand who Murdoch is or what he owns. 800 Americans die from poverty each day. You all might be interested in the Poor People's Campaign? They are a huge non voting block.
