  1. The NYT has done 196 negative articles on Biden's "mental decline" vs 6-10 negative articles on Trump's "mental decline". Media bias has been a significant factor in perceptions of Biden. David Cay Johnson has been talking about this in podcasts. VP selections need to roam past the guest's friendliness with potential candidates.

  2.  @TheSapphireSprit You are right to be excited and energised by Harris! She is brat! Look at how well Biden managed this. He announced that he was was stepping down and handing over to Harris, after Trump chose his VP, and Biden flatlined their expected poll bumps after the RNC. Brilliant strategy! Harris has hit the ground running as a Presidental candidate before the media had any idea. She has it totally in hand. I bet Biden is delighted. AOC said that they were trying to get rid of both Biden and Harris, but he hung on for the most strategic moment. She is amazingly confident, prepared and organised. The media will be unfair to Kamala Harris as they were to Joe Biden, but I don't think it will have an impact. I agree Harris is extraordinarily qualified for the position. She's got amazing connections in multiple communities. You are right she will be the first woman president!
