  2. It's a combination of Intergenerational Trauma, poverty, illiteracy and being extremely time poor. 66.2% of Americans are living pay check to pay check. They work 2-3 jobs and can't pay rent and buy food for their children. Then they have to "volunteer" for food stamps. They are extremely time poor. Poverty stops folks from engaging. 60% of Americans are reading and writing at a 6th Grade level. 1 in 3 of these are reading and writing at an 8 year old level. This means that they haven't progressed from concrete to abstract thinking and they don't have critical thinking skills. Trump did amygdala hijacks of folks desperately wanting a way out.
