  1. Most folks do not know. 66.2% of Americans can't get $500 together for an emergency. They work 2-3 jobs and can't pay rent and buy food for their children. Then they have to "volunteer" to get food stamps. They don't have the time to read the news. 60% of Americans are reading and writing at a 6th Grade level this means that they haven't progressed from concrete to abstract thinking and don't know who Murdoch is or what he owns. Poverty and illiteracy leave folks disengaged, vulnerable and disadvantaged. They are vulnerable to the sanewashing of corporate media.
